Two Shakespearean Actors

On May 10th, 1849, while the English actor, William Charles Macready, was performing Macbeth at the Astor Place Opera House in New York, a riot erupted which resulted in the death of 34 people.

This play uses this incident as the basis for an examination of the theatre in a post-colonial era.
