Beginning to Read: Sight Vocabulary Non-Fiction Strand Pack

Part of the Key Skills strand of Cambridge Reading, this Evaluation Pack contains 20 non-fiction books offering a fresh approach to learning high frequency words.

The words are introduced in the context of real texts through three different text types - 'I remember' (recount), 'how to' (instruction) and 'find out about' (report).

The books are illustrated with photographs to make the books relevant to children's own experiences. The High Frequency Words strand provides systematic introduction and reinforcement of all the NLS words, with sight words appearing at least three times in the text. 20 fiction storybooks complete the strand. Evaluation packs may be purchased in full or returned in good condition within 30 days.
