See all formats and editions

Excavations at Poggio Colla, a hilltop site northeast of Florence have revealed an Etruscan settlement from the seventh through third centuries B.C.

In 1995 a team sponsored by Southern Methodist University and Oberlin College, began its work at this important site.

This multimedia CD-ROM sampler documents that first season.

Through text, still photographs, videos, and Quick Time Virtual Reality the viewer is transported to the site and witnesses the process of excavation.

Features include on-site lectures by the staff, video clips of the work, and photographs of the principal finds.

Reports on the season's work include a summary of principle observations and a Director's Notebook.
