This text looks at: hands and feet; eyes; ears; senses; the skeleton; joints; muscles and movement; skin; fingerprints; hair; teeth; breathing; digestion; the heart; growth and measuring; and healthy living.This title is one of a series designed to allow young readers to develop their scientific knowledge through an experimental/imaginative approach.

Each spread will open with an information page on the left, with a photograph and related text introducing a key topic.

On the facing page, a related activity, again illustrated with photographs, will provide "hands-on" opportunities for the children to explore the given topic themselves.

Together, the books in the series will cover life processes and living things, materials and their properties and physical processes.

The emphasis will be on science as part of everyday life, and the text, though simple, will introduce key scientific vocabulary.

Safety will be emphasized throughout.
