Cascadia : a tale of two cities

The Cascade Mountains run from northern California to southern Canada and include some of the most striking landscapes in North America, as well as two of its fastest-growing cities: Seattle and Vancouver.

Seeking to capture the beauty, scope and intimacy of his spectacular region, informally named Cascadia, this book is a photographic celebration of landmarks such as the snow-covered peak of Mt Rainier, the Victorian houses of Vancouver, the Mercer Island Floating Bridge, North Cascades National Park, and Seattle's famous Boat Parade.

Also featured are the fish and produce markets, the outdoor murals and sculpture gardens, the ethnic restaurants, the cultural centres, and the diverse populations of Seattle and Vancouver.Accompanying the photographs are nine essays by local writers.
