African Art and Artefacts in European Collections 1400-1800

This life-work of Italian scholar, Ezio Bassani, creates a record of over 800 artefacts in more than 100 early African collections in Europe.

The catalogue provides full descriptions of each artefact and the details of every collection, with present location and provenance provided where known. Original documentation is given in the original language with a translation and commentary in English.

There are several indices, including categories of item by material.

The CD-ROM features an electronic version of the text.
