This cookbook is structured to make it easier for one to incorporate the principles of health cooking and eating into everyday life.

It begins with a discussion on healthy cooking and eating, the basic principles of nutrition, meal and menu planning, shopping tips and weight loss and exercise.

The book is then divided into the three meals of the day for which Jane Fonda suggests menus for complete, healthy meals as well as individual recipes which are each accompanied by a full-page colour photograph.Listed with each recipe are preparation and cooking times, tips on substitutions, preparation techniques and storage information.

The last chapter is entitled "Completing the Meal", and includes 57 recipes for drinks, side dishes, dressings and desserts.
