The Writer of the World Part 2

Months have passed since Lord Vener's betrayal at Himerdon. His efforts to save the city failed, but not all of the victims are dead, yet. His love, Rhea, lives, but the magic poison that is slowly killing her has no known cure. With time against him, Vener must return to the empire he betrayed and seek out the hidden ruins of the last kingdom of magic to secure a cure for Rhea's illness.

Meanwhile, Emperor Egregious, fresh from victory in the Northern Kingdom, has started the next phase of his plan: his ascension to godhood, and the destruction of the Island of Innocence! Witness to this nightmare is the head servant, Alexei, and his trio of assistants. As the emperor's plans unfold Alexei must cling loyally to the madness and evil or lose his family to those jealous of his proximity to Egregious.

The empire is poised to launch its next invasion, this time at the Island of Innocence. As the world races into chaos, Vener must find the will to risk Rhea's death and save the innocent, or save her at the cost of another genocide he could have prevented.
