From November 2006 to January 2007 the Swiss film-maker Dominique de Rivaz, who lives in Berlin, traced and photographed the original circular route of the Berlin Wall, both in the city itself and in Brandenburg.

The theme of her photographs is that which has now disappeared, or of which only fragments remain, demonstrating in the process the signs of new life and its power of self-assertion.

Absent and yet permanently present, the Wall still marks daily life in the fabric of the city.

The wintry bleakness of the photos exposes the precision of what the Wall once was - and still is today: a scar, sometimes invisible, yet in many places poorly healed. "The Never Ending Wall" captures in pictures a walk along the 155 km of what was once an encircling wall - an invitation by a self-reflective eye to go in search of traces that remain, and to be inspired by the unique atmosphere of these places.
