Training for Competence

This text aims to cover all the main aspects of planning, co-ordinating and assessing a training programme in job-related skills.

The first section considers recent changes in the vocational and educational training system, particularly in the context of NVQs, and examines the implications of these changes for trainers and teachers.

Part 2 describes the skills which teachers will need to implement successful courses.

These include analyzing competence, designing and utilizing job aids, structuring a skills training programme, training on the job and using computers in training.
