Situating Hayek : Phenomenology and the Neo-liberal Project

Recently the sharp distinction that had been drawn between Hayek's work as an economist and his later work in political philosophy has been challenged.

This book argues that Hayek's studies in economics, political philosophy and social scientific methodology complement and reinforce each other, and that this continuity is most apparent in the epistemological concerns that arise throughout his work.

In particular it emphasises the significance of phenomenological explanations of social action.
