Themes et Textes - Tutor's Book

"Themes et Textes" is designed to support post-16 coverage of syllabus topics and popular literary texts for A Level French, Higher French and for other modules, and for students opting for written coursework.

Each dossier in the student's book offers: a selection of stimulus items from a range of sources, on which questions are based, to provoke discussion and ideas on key issues; details of suitable target language sources for relevant material to be researched by the student, including web sites; some suggested approaches to the topic to assist in the planning and organization of coursework; and links between texts and topics, with references to relevant text dossiers.

Each photocopiable text dossier in the tutor's book provides: graded language tasks giving access to key passages in the text; analytical tasks looking at characteristics and styles of the writing; typical essay titles, with guidelines on how to tackle the writing of literary essays in the target language; and links between texts and topics, with references to relevant topic dossiers in the student's book.
