See all formats and editions

This is a guide book describing the Ebor Way long distance footpath in detail in both directions, thus enabling the reader to walk it from one end to the other in whichever direction he or she chooses.

The Ebor Way is considered to be fairly easy as far as long distance paths go, it being only about seventy miles long with no really strenuous climbs.

The Ebor Way, which starts in Ilkley and ends in Helmsley in Yorkshire, passes through areas with outstanding views, through pretty villages and, of course, York.

Each end of The Ebor Way connects with other long distance paths: the Dales Way at Ilkley and the Cleveland Way at Helmsley.

This guide is intended primarily for those walkers who, like the author, enjoy walking Britain's long distance paths but prefer to take them in easy stages, from easy access points, rather than complete them in one session.
