This title in Studies in Jungian Psychology by Jungian Analysts is number 90 and was originally a lecture series given at the Jung Institute in Los Angeles in which Dr. Edinger performed a psychological commentary on the so-called prophetic books contained in the Old Testament.

His conclusion is a dichotomy of the importance of collective history as well as individual history to the Jews, and is a means of discovering transpersonal purpose in life.
