English for Law

This text is for people who need to understand the language of the law in English, for their studies, research or work.

The author has taken a wide variety of legal texts, and has provided exercises which develop reading skills, vocabulary learning skills and study skills.

Readers develop the ability to work alone on legal materials of their own choice. The book consists of an introductory unit followed by 12 units concerning different areas of the law.

There are also revision units at intervals throughout the course.

Four hundred law terms are presented and the reader is taught techniques for building up a large legal vocabulary.
