This report is adopted from The Regional Seminar on Facilitating the Accession of Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Developing Countries to the World Trade Organization (WTO), held in February 2002, in Bangkok, Thailand.

The objective of the seminar was to share experiences among ESCAP developing countries in the process of WTO accession and to draw lessons from them.

This report highlights the main issues discussed. It also examines the application forms of the following ESCAP countries: Bhutan, Cambodia, Fiji, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mongolia, Nepal, Thailand, Tonga and Vanuatu.
