This book is a poem written for young children and Illustrated with pictures of acrylic paintings by Christine E.

McNulty. During the time Christine wrote, the book was not a poem, although a short story. Christine decided to modify its sound and make it a nursery rhyme.

She believes it would create a more favourable tone for the child. Following writing the ideals of the book, Christine painted all the illustrations by hand. She created cute characters and vivid colours for her images. The story is about a young owl who gets woken up by a family of cardinals.

The little owl decides to leave her nest while her family is sleeping to meet the cardinals. When her father wakes, he notices her missing from the nest. The young cardinal invited the young owl to the ravine. In the end, the father owl reunites with his daughter and returns home. An appreciation of Cynthia St-Amour, Jacinthe Bourdeau and Mireille McNulty for adding ideals and editing the story. A special thanks for their assistance.
