Mopar muscle : fifty years

In 1955, Chrysler introduced the first of its famed 300 "Letter series" cars - a stylish, sporty car with a potent Hemi engine, and the American muscle car was born.

The combination of style and performance put the C-300 ahead of all competition in the post-war years.

When car wars began in earnest in the 1960's, Chrysler was well-placed to build the most outrageous, bodacious cars - the famous Charger, Hemi Cude, Road Runner, Superbird, Challenger T/A.

Dominating the drag strips, NASCAR races, and roads of America, these brightly-coloured, decorated cars became the coolest cars on the planet, and have become a legend - the most outrageous machines to tear up pavement!
