A multimedia CD-ROM developed for students, teachers, agencies, and anyone interested in the wildlife of British Columbia.

It includes information on taxonomy, identification, food and feeding, habitat, behaviour, and reproduction of British Columbia's higher profile mammals.

British Columbia encompasses 95 million hectares and has a diverse climate and physiography.

The CD-ROM reflects this diversity in its detailed maps, which show the province's eco-regions and the distribution of mammal species and subspecies.

It also features information on endangered species, a quiz, a glossary of terms, information on further resources, and links to useful Web sites.

Contributors to the CD-ROM include biologists with the BC Ministry of Environment, staff at the Royal BC Museum, professors from several universities, and leading species experts.

The system requirements are: Pentium processor, Microsoft Windows 95, 16 MB RAM, 10 MB free hard disk space, CD-ROM drive and sound card, and more than 256 colours.
