This quick and easy to use programme is designed for observing and recording achievement for children up to the age of five years.

The record of achievement enables you to highlight a child's strengths as well as weaknesses, so that you can plan the curriculum accordingly.

Best of all, it requires no extra equipment other than what is ordinarily available in nurseries.

It is an informal approach to assessment, through which children can be observed in natural situations and so that parents and staff are provided with an accurate record.

The programme covers five key areas of development: posture and large movements; vision and fine movements; hearing and speech; social and emotional behaviour; and play.

The record charts are designed to give you plenty of space to write in your comments and are presented so that you can update one area per week working through all five areas of development.
