Das stimmt! : practice and revision for German GCSE: Teacher's notes - Teacher's Notes (2nd ed)

The second edition of "Das Stimmt! Practice and Revision for German GCSE" provides extensive, graded practice to match the specifications, modelled on the tasks being set in the examination from 2003.

It is designed to enable the candidates to achieve the highest grade possible. The tasks and rubrics in this edition represent the full range of task types and level of difficulty that candidates should find in their GCSE papers.

The use of English in the rubrics of certain tasks is modelled closely on the awarding bodies' policies, as is the wording of the German rubrics used.

A glossary of German rubrics is provided to all students to familiarize themselves thoroughly with the instructions they will be asked to follow. The "Student's Book" contains: an introduction with simple clear advice on how to use the book as part of a practice and revision strategy that should lead to the best possible grade; a glossary of German instructions; and one unit for each of the five main context areas prescribed by the common GCSE criteria.

Each of the five units includes a generous number of tasks across the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The reading and listening tasks each have a "target mark", identifying performance at Grade C. The "Teacher's Notes" (packaged with the cassette) include: concise practical guidance on using this resource; transcripts for listening tasks and role plays; and answers where appropriate.
