The authors have divided the book into sections on small animals, large animals and exotics, and in each section provide both a summary of common dosages and a detailed description of drugs used.

These descriptions, organized alphabetically, include indications, routes of administration, adverse and common side effects, drug interactions, source of supply, and in many cases both the US and Canadian generic names.
