Bear Grylls is the youngest British climber to reach the summit and return alive -- a feat made all the more remarkable by the fact that only two years earlier he broke his back in a parachuting accident.

Bear endured over seventy days on Everest's southeast face -- and only narrowly avoided death when he fell into a crevasse at 19,000 ft. -- to stand on top of the world's highest mountain.
