"Thinking Through Science" is a series of books which can be used to: develop skills of communication, interpretation and presentation of data, evaluation and decision making; to present new topics; for homework activities; for lesson cover; for revision; and to give practice in answering GCSE-type questions. The series contains three levels and three books each for biology, chemistry and physics topics, and one to cover topics in the earth sciences. The books cover the National Curriculum Attainment Targets and the activities incorporate problem-solving, decision-making and the selection, interpretation and presentation of data.

Activities have been chosen to match the four profile components to be included in the National Curriculum for science: knowledge and understanding; technological and social aspects of science; communication; and exploration and investigation. This multipack 1 contains five biology, five chemistry, and five physics books.

For level one the books assume little or no background knowledge.

They are suitable for foundation courses and cover the statements of attainment for the average 14 year olds.
