Like many cities around the world, Toronto is undergoing a transformation: fuelled by white-hot market, its neighbourhoods are being razed and replaced by luxury condos and the fabric of the city is being remade.

Against this backdrop, Eric Kostiuk Williams presents his pseudo-science fiction tale of two primeval agents of retribution. Infused with art history, urban theories, gender politics, and the buoyancy and escapism of disco, Condo Heartbreak Disco is a melancholic tale with a backbeat. A comic nonpareil, the closest thing being if John Waters were enlisted to direct the next Marvel movie, Condo Heartbreak Disco is a story pitting epic super heroics against the death stare trajectory of late Capitalism.
