HCI Innovations in Korea - v. 20

This special issue introduces current vigorous HCI research activities in Korea, a country with one of the most advanced Internet and mobile environments in the world, and one where the significance of HCI researchers has increased tremendously.

Articles in "HCI Innovations in Korea" cover subjects on mobile services, new types of user interfaces for future computing environments, and Virtual Reality (VR).

Specific topics include the effect of cultural differences on user requirements in the design of mobile data services; design elements and usability principles related to mobile phones; a novel haptic mouse system to be used as a human-computer interface with the capability for holistic haptic feedback; a 3D vision-based ambient user interface; and a Virtual Reality training system for live-line workers.
