A Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - English Pamplet

"The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity" was fully established in 1966 when the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches and the Secretariat for Promoting Christian Unity began joint preparation.

Today representatives from the Conference of European Churches and the Roman Catholics prepare the material. The material aims to encourage Christians to come together in prayer for the greater visible unity of Christ's Church.

It provides suggestions to stimulate the imagination, thus encouraging churches to co-operate to meet the needs of the local community and the world.

The theme of this year's pack is "With you is the fountain of life".

Resources available include: a resource book containing the theme for 2002; ecumenical worship services, prayers and reflection, pages for children and young people and the pilgrim theme; pamphlets in English and Welsh/English; a promotional poster; and a link to a website with additional resources.
