This Directory provides a comprehensive account of the maritime and marine interest of the North Sea coastal margin from a UK perspective.

It is split into three parts: a description of the North Sea habitats, geology & geomorphology, fisheries, and rare and protected species; accounts of current protected status of these habitats and species; and an indication of activities which have an effect on the North Sea coastal margins.
