Double bill of horror thrillers. In 'Alligator' (1980), Detective David Madison (Robert Forster) investigates when body parts are found in the Chicago sewer system.

He soon realises that the culprit is a giant alligator with an insatiable appetite which has been feeding on the corpses of animals used in illegal experiments and discarded in the sewers.

However, when initial attempts to kill the creature prove unsuccessful, it escapes the sewers to wreak havoc above ground.

Can Madison and herpetologist Marisa Kendall (Robin Riker) stop the beast before more people die?

The sequel 'Alligator 2' (1991) stars Joseph Bologna as Detective David Hodges who is tasked with finding out who - or what - is reponsible for the deaths of two fisherman.

A local tycoon has been dumping chemicals and animal corpses into the sewers and, after feeding on them, a young alligator has mutated to massive size.

Hodges leads a team intent on stopping the creature, but it will not go down without a fight...
