Rogue Cops and Racketeers: Two Thrillers By Enzo G. Castellari

Two Italian crime dramas from director Enzo G. Castellari. 'The Big Racket' (1976) stars Fabio Testi as police inspector Nico Palmieri who makes it his mission to rid a small Italian village of a group of criminals extorting money from the locals.

When one shopkeeper agrees to testify against the gang and his daughter is brutally attacked in response, Palmieri realises that the law cannot help in this case.

Recruiting other like-minded civilians to his cause, he forms his own gang of vigilantes to fight back.

In 'The Heroin Busters' (1977) Interpol agent Mike Hamilton (David Hemmings) is trying to shut down a drug smuggling ring operating in Rome but the local police prove unhelpful.

His only assistance comes from Fabio (Testi), an undercover officer who is working to infiltrate the cartel and earn the trust of its leader.

However, when Fabio's cover is blown, he is caught in a desperate fight to survive.
