The seventh volume of Tony Palmer's critically acclaimed 1970s series for London Weekend Television, documenting the history of popular music.

This episode, entitled 'Diamonds as Big as the Ritz', looks at the musical - a genre derived from operetta, vaudeville, variety, burlesque, revue and most importantly British music hall, and taken to new heights in the 1930s and 40s by the likes of Oscar Hammerstein and Rouben Mamoulian.
