Shoot On Sight

Fictional thriller that deals with the fallout from a suspected terrorist attack on the London underground.

In the aftermath of the July 7th London bombings, Muslim police commander Tariq Ali (Naseeruddin Shah) is given the job of investigating police actions when a suspected bomber is shot dead in a terrorist alert on the underground.

Despite the fact that Tariq has worked his way up the career ladder at New Scotland Yard, he soon comes under pressure from the media and his fellow officers over his apparent friendship with Junaid (Om Puri), an Islamic leader with purported links to terrorist groups.

The film also stars Brian Cox, Greta Scacchi and Sadie Frost.
