When a logging company starts work in the small, isolated town of Maiden Woods they unwittingly awaken a long dormant creature in the nearby forest.

As the mysterious being starts enacting his evil will on the town, Sheriff Paul Shields (Durand) is forced to investigate as he also battles his own personal torment over the loss of his son.
