Trace Lysette stars as the eponymous character in this drama from film-maker Andrea Pallaoro.

Many years after she was kicked out of her home due to her family's rejection of her gender identity, Monica receives a call from her sister-in-law Laura (Emily Browning), inviting her to help with her mother Eugenia (Patricia Clarkson)'s care, as she is suffering from a debilitating illness affecting her memory.

Monica has a chance to start over with Eugenia when her mother fails to recognise her, but can she let go of the past to make up for the little time they have left?
