Prison action sequel in which Ving Rhames reprises his role as ex-gang member James 'Animal' Allen.

Back inside and serving time for murder, Allen (Rhames) learns that his son, James Jr (KC Collins), has been framed for murder on the outside and looks likely to be facing a harsh sentence.

Approached by those responsible, Allen is blackmailed into returning to his previous life as an underground fighter in order to help his son.

As his fighting skills propel him through an endless line of steely opponents, Allen uncovers a plot to turn inmate against inmate, in a bid to start a full-blown racial conflict between the prison's street-hardened gangs.

Now, stuck between a rock and a hard place, 'Animal' has to use all his skill and cunning to survive the chaos erupting around him.
