Easy ways to seasonal plays : three complete plays with photocopy permission

The changing seasons bring with them the important festivals of Christmas, Easter and Harvest.

How do we explain their significance to children?This is a question that many primary teachers and people who work with young children in church or playschool ask themselves.

A fun way for them to learn is to participate in a seasonal play.

This book contains three simple yet effective plays for use with groups of mixed ages.Each play is designed to allow all the children to stay on stage throughout the performance.

All the children are involved in the actions, mimes and songs throughout the play.

The narrative allows for flexibility in the allocation of speaking parts, with most of the lines designated for older children.Preceding each play is a story narrative, complete with black and white line drawings, designed to be told to the group as an introduction to the play itself.

The story is followed by a four or five week countdown to the performance, with hints, activities and scripts for each week running up to the performance.
