Reading About is a multi-level series introducing non-fiction to junior readers, from first concepts to essential subjects within the National Curriculum.

The levels in the series are: Beginning to Read, Begin to Read Alone, Read Alone, and Key Subjects (for proficient readers).

They are based on children's personal carly experiences and will aid reading proficiency through the use of short sentences and phrase repetition.

Shapes looks at shapes through the simple narrative of a child's day at the beach.

In addition to giving fun examples of basic shapes e.g. triangle, square, it explores such concepts as shapes that change, repeated shapes (patterns) and the difference between shape and size.

Sounds looks at sounds through the simple narrative of a child's walk down the street.

The book explores human and animals sounds, combined sounds (choirs), media sounds and sounds with a purpose (alarms).
