International Geomorphology : International Conference Proceedings

The objectives of the First International Geomorphology Conference held in Manchester during September 1985 were to provide a forum to discuss all aspects of geomorphological research work; to emphasize the role of the subject in environmental management and to foster closer international collaboration in the discipline.

In all, some twenty-six symposia were held and the manuscripts derived from these events were all considered for publication.

After these had been refereed, the remaining eighty percent were collected to form this volume. The breadth of material presented has made "International Geomorphology 1986" a large and comprehensive survey of the subject.
