Improving Children's Health : An Analyses of Health Improvement Programmes 2000-2003 (New ed)

This report analyses the extent to which the health of children and young people has been addressed in the Health Improvement Programmes (HimPs) drawn up by English health authorities for the period 2000 - 2003.

The report looks at over 30 key areas of childrens health, including disability, young carers, drugs and alcohol, domestic violence, child and adolescent mental health issues and consultation with children and young people.

The picture that emerges is of fragmented services for this population group with excellent provision in some areas and comparatively little in others.
