Windows 95 Look and Feel * Files and file saving - Now allows long file names; more options for opening and saving files in the standard Windows 95 dialog box; the ability to create folders from within the dialog box rather than having to use File explorer (the old File Manager). * A new look and feel of the toolbars - Now includes three toolbars, each of which can be hidden, moved or customized by the user as is the current standard. * Windows 95 help files - Now includes a contents tab, full-text searching, and improved copying. * Allows viewers to view the help file in a familiar "tree" fashion similar to program manager or explorer; to search for text anywhere in the help file; and to select and copy text from any help file. Functionality * The ability to save files as Excel files - Available for most (but not all) of the modules.
When it is used, the program creates an Excel file that contains not only the data but also either the formulas for the solution or a spreadsheet that is ready to be solved by using Solver. * Greatly enhanced formatting and printing options. * Allows users to format a table on the screen and then print the table as it is formatted; to change the font size and print in color (for regular, normal fast printing); and to change printers (including to a fax) if more than one printer is available. * More help options. * Allows users to send e-mail messages directly to Prentice-Hall for program help; and to use the software itself to point directly to the software upgrades or to the manual at the Prentice-Hall web site. * Improved display for modules that have multiple graphs. * Enhances the user-friendliness of the package. * More flexibility. * Users may set options to have either the data shown or the solution shown when a file is opened, an option to automatically save the data after data entry is complete, an option to solve the problem after data entry is complete, an option to change the default titles for problems/data sets and several other options. * An option to save as HTML. * Provides users with a convenient tool for posting to the Internet.
