The Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden at the New Orleans Museum of Art is one of the foremost sculpture gardens in the United States.

The nearly five-acre Garden opened in 2003 with fifty works of art by modern and contemporary artists of international renown, including Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, George Segal, and Louise Bourgeois.

Today the Garden boasts sixty-four works of art (a number which continues to grow), showcased in a unique natural setting of meandering footpaths, reflective lagoons, and mature live oaks and pines.

The book explores the history of this award-winning space and highlights work from its superb collection, which spans from the neoclassical figures of Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Augustus Saint-Gaudens, to twenty-first century innovations by Anish Kapoor and Leandro Erlich.

This book provides, for the first time, indepth entries on each of the outstanding sculptures in the garden, and an exploration of the vision of the Garden's founding patrons: Sydney and Walda Besthoff.

With stunning photography and detailed information on both the Garden's artwork and plant life, this book will be a reference guide for years to come.
