Score and podium: The workbook - Workbook to 2r.e

A training sequel to "Score and Podium", this workbook draws on Prausnitz's teaching experience with large introductory classes consisting of instrumentalists, singers and composers exploring an alternative approach to music, while acquiring basic technical skills as conductors.

Each chapter is divided into a half hour of "marching and drilling" and an hour of conducting a combined group of instrumentalists.

Chapters address the theory and practice of the beat, the musical surface of a composition (meter, notes, dynamics, tempo dynamics), right hand/left hand-beat and gesture, and instructions that lie below the musical surface.
