The Beckett soldiers index, A-C

This index is the second of two volumes which form a reference listing of soldiers from 1793 to about 1854.

It contains 127,000 names arranged alphabetically by surname, forename and regiment.

An expanded text entry gives other known details of each man including where applicable: whether he was at Waterloo; received the MGS medal and/or the Army of India Medal; his place and date of birth; who he married and where; whether he was listed as a Chelsea Pensioner; whether he was discharged at Kilmainham in Ireland; if he served in any other regiments; and his date of death.
