There once was a war : the collected color photography of World War II

Most people's memory of the years 1941-1945 exist in monochrome, because that is the way it was and still is seen in the films and pictures of the day.

This is a collection of colour photographs from World War II taken, for the most part, by amateur photographers which provide a slightly different perspective on the largest conflict in human history.
