World Development Report - Infrastructure for Development

This is the seventeenth annual edition of the World Development Report, the standard reference source for international economic data.

This edition contains a special section on the importance of infrastructure in economic development.

Chapters include creating incentives to improve services in the public sector, creating market-orientated solutions to improving infracture, protecting the environment while reducing poverty, financing private initiatives in building infrastructure, and setting prorities in infrastructure reform.
