Art in a City Revisited

Building on the groundbreaking book "Art in a City", this book explores art in contemporary Liverpool and engages with the view from outside the City and outside Britain.

It explores the often made but rarely challenged claims that Liverpool is 'the most significant UK centre for art outside London', and examines the key institutional players, such as the Bluecoat and the Walker Art Gallery as well as all those that post-date Willett, including Tate Liverpool, Open Eye, FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology), and the Liverpool Biennial.
