A Straive's Life on Earth

A new type of supernatural being has formed - called a Straive.

Their mission is simple - not to get found out by the humans.

Dranel has started high school, immediately becoming a comedian and troublemaker.

When he learns that one of the teachers is also a Straive, together they learn how to survive in the human world.

When Dranel steps through a mysterious blue light, he finally realises how important protecting his secret is...Inspired by other paranormal stories, thirteen-year-old Hanad Ali decided to create a new type of character after seeing vampires overused in children's books today.

A Straive's Life on Earth introduces this new being in a story that deals with the highs and lows of high school and family life, with a supernatural twist.

Hanad's writing was influenced by Jeff Kinney, who is most famous for his Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.
