"El Arte De Escribir" is an intermediate to advanced writing skills text designed to help students become better writers in academic and practical settings.

In the three main units of the text, students learn a simple method for summarizing and comparing articles and other texts, put together a resume in Spanish and learn about simple correspondence, and gain an appreciation for literary writing styles.

A final unit provides practice with the mechanical aspects of writing Spanish (accentuation, syllabification, spelling problems, and so on) as well as advice on using a dictionary.
