Enthralled with his story, and thinking more and more about what they'd like to have, the brother and sister decide to capture the magic butterfly and make their wish come true.

Though once they have her in captivity, they realise that the butterfly's freedom is more important than their wish.

In the unselfish act of releasing the butterfly, the two children come to understand that their true wish is one of love.
