Renewable Energy in Transportation

Currently, less than one percent of the energy used by transport (automotive, rail, shipping, air and space) worldwide is renewable.

However, due to environmental and energy security concerns, there is a growing political and public imperative that transportation be transformed from crude oil/petroleum-based to renewable-energy based.

Unlike other books which typically address only a small part of the subject area, this book examines the technologies for utilizing bioenergy as well as other renewable energy sources in all different transportation applications.
